One of the ten things that you absolutely must do if you come to Venice is to take the vaporetto line 1.
This line docked at each stop of the Grand Canal and so allows you to admire along its entire course the magnificent and majestic palaces, museums and hotels that facing in it.
The ticket costs about 7 euros per person for one way tickets but you can take different tickets- times, family tickets etc..
In your journey you can stop wherever you want to visit the attractions of the area and resume your journey with the ferry which runs every 10 minutes.
Leave the central area of the boat free passage for those who wants easly get off or enter.
Put your luggage in their space and get out your backpacks to avoid to hit someone given the cramped conditions.
The suggested route goes from St. Elena to Railway station and return for a journey of about an hour and a half.
