An unusual way, but recommended is to visit Venice getting lost among its squares and calli (the streets are so called in Venice) It sounds strange but it is perhaps the most practical and funny way to discover not only the most visited places but also the most characteristic and hidden corners that this wonderful city jealously guards. Arm yourself with a camera, a map of Venice and a good pair of shoes and get swallowed by the intricate network of alleyways, observed every corner in every height, even in places a little farther from the center and you’ll be surprised by how Venice is not only Piazza San Marco or Rialto Bridge ….. And to go back? Venice is a tourist town and as such, most of Venetians speaks English at least, seek out the nearest vaporetto stop you’ll understand where you are.
