2/3 days Itinerary

If you only have two days in Venice, we suggest this route: – On the first day visit San Marco Square with the Basilica and the Doge’s Palace at opening time (9 am) to avoid the crowd of tourists. (Duration: 3 hours) Then continue to the Mercerie street to the Rialto Bridge to admire a breathtaking view, then enjoy the colorful market of fruit and fish (Duration approx: 1 hour) Have a lunch in one of the many family-run trattorias near the Market (Duration approx: up to you) In the afternoon, climb to the top of the bell tower of St. Mark’s Square and admire the view of Venice from an unusual point of view Enjoy an exclusive aperitif sitting in one of the historic cafes of San Marco Square listening the small live orchestra. – The second day visit always at opening time (9 am) the beautiful Accademia delle Belle Arti where you can enjoy very important paintings (Duration approx: 2 hours) From Accademia walk for about 10 minutes and you will find the majestic Ca ‘Rezzonico Museum (Duration approx: 1 hour and half) Continuing the journey in the San Polo quartier, towards Rialto bridge you will find a lot of small artigianal shops of handmade papier-mâché masks, leather goods, souvenirs etc where you can satisfy your wife. (Duration approx: up to your wife) Have a light lunch with “cichetti” in one of the many small inns in the quartier of San Polo (Duration approx: up to you) Continue to the Frari’s Church and close to the splendid Scuola di San Rocco with its beautiful Tintoretto’s paintings. (Duration approx 2 hours) At sunset, a romantic gondola ride and a good fish dinner in one of the recommended restaurants.
